Another Busy Beer Week

You just won't believe how much is happening beer-wise this week in the Pikes Peak Region. I'm putting a little * after the events I hope to make it to, so maybe I'll see you there. I'd love to hear from people who have attended some of these events. Please contact me if you'd like to write a guest post.

Twitter fans of Colorado Mountain Brewery will be meeting each other in real life, eating food and drinking beer together.

If you live closer to the Denver area you can drop off the beer at The Brew Hut in Aurora. More information has been posted here.

Sisterhood of the Suds Meeting *
At Brewer's Republic - 112 N. Nevada, Colorado Springs
Ladies! Join us for our holiday meeting at Brewer's Republic, at 112 North Nevada in Colorado Springs at 6:00 pm. We will be hosting a food and beer pairing, offering an appetizer and several desserts with various brews. Please RSVP on our Facebook page so that we know how many to plan for. Sisterhood of the Suds is organized by the awesome Beer Drinker's Guide to Colorado people. Jenn, from the Jenn and Beer blog wrote about one of her SotS experiences. I've been invited to this, even though I'm not exactly a sister (I hope they know I'm a dude). I'm pretty sure I'll be there, although the next day is the last day of school before the break, so I'll need to play it by ear.

5pm - Double Rainbow Beer Release at Trinity Brewing *
Double Rainbow Collaborative Saison Release!
Brewer's Jason Yester and John Schneider recently co-hosted a Saison dinner with a mix of both Black Fox and Trinity Brewing Saisons, and during that dinner and idea began to evolve. A 'progressive culture' youtube video that went completely viral depicted a very genuine man who was extremely excited about seeing a beautiful double rainbow. The two Belgian-Inspired brewers have decided to take on the challenge to make a Super Saison together. Each ingredient used in this recipe represents one of the 12 colors in a double rainbow. Only 500 bottles available, limit 6 per customer, this beer will be available one time only.

All you creative folks out there have the opportunity to see your work on the yearly artist-designed label for the Smokebrush Porter. Due date is today. More information about the submission process is here.

5pm - Homebrew Competition Party at Bierwerks in Woodland Park
The beers from the homebrew competition will be judged and this will be "followed by a special brewers and drinkers holiday party at 5 p.m. at BierWerks." I'm pretty sure that means that people who want to drink the beer, and didn't submit beer, can party as well.

5pm - Nitro Beer Night at Bristol
Join us for $3.00 pints of Nitro beer from 5-9pm (I'm not sure which beers will be on Nitro)

7pm - Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at Rocky Mountain Brewery *
We're having a Christmas Party! The only requirement is that you wear the most horrendous Christmas sweater you can find. We'll have special beers on tap (possibly an eggnog beer), some bitchin' Christmas tunes, and lots of activities. We'll also be giving out prizes for the best worst sweater. Hope to see you there. Cheers.
