Drink Local: May 13-19

Happy Monday everyone! This week is American Craft Beer Week and there are a lot of great releases and fun events happening around town. In case you haven’t heard, American Craft Beer Week® is the nationwide celebration of U.S. small and independent craft brewers. The week-long salute provides an opportunity for craft brewers to share their creativity and passion for the beverage they love (source). For American Craft Beer Week on a local level, Nano 108 is offering daily beer releases to be paired with a different food truck special every day, and Rocky Mountain Brewery will have flight specials all week. Storybook also has daily beer releases, and Red Leg has several events throughout the week including raffles, games, food specials and new beer.

In addition to the “holiday”, there is a Monday beer pairing dinner with Brass Brewing and some favorite local chefs, plus a birthday beer dinner and box release on Friday at Bristol. If you’re feeling crafty, FH Beerworks East is hosting paint your own cornhole set this weekend. It’s a good week for the ladies, with Ladie’s Brew School at Gold Camp, Girl’s Pint Out Craft Night at Red Leg, and Princesses & Pint’s at JAKs for the kids. Other events include a special talk about space and satellites at Lost Friend, a Masquerade Ball Murder Mystery at Red Leg, and a Game of Thrones finale watch party dinner at Phantom Canyon.

No matter what your hobby is or what you’re drinking, remember to drink craft and support local! Cheers!
