Pikes Peak Brewing, little more than a week past their 8th anniversary party, has announced that they will soon begin construction on a lager house in downtown Colorado Springs.
The new location will be across Tejon street from FH Beerworks at 514 S Tejon, bringing another brewery destination to the downtown area.
Chris Wright, owner and head brewer, stated that they are planning a 10-barrel brewhouse with eight stainless lagering tanks as well as five temperature controlled foeders enabling Pikes Peak to create unique wood aged lagers at the new location. The space will also feature a tasting room spanning two floors and opening into the new Colorado Springs Market, an open-air concept much like Denver’s Milk Market or Stanley Marketplace. This expansion also marks a slight change to branding for Pikes Peak Brewing, as they will remove the ‘Monument’ portion at the top of their main logo and shorten it to simply ‘Colorado’. They will then use echelon bars under the main logo to differentiate the Lager House from the main location in Monument.
This is exciting news for Pikes Peak and we can’t wait to try what they’ll be lagering downtown!
