15th Annual Firkin Rendezvous Cancelled for Unforeseen Firkin-stances

You read that right. We just received word that the Colorado Brewers Guild and Bristol Brewing, together, have made the decision to cancel this year’s festival one week before the festivities were set to begin.

An email sent out this evening cited logistics issues that were unforeseen and wholly out of the organizers’ control.

Anyone who has purchased tickets can contact for a refund.

It’s a bummer, but none of us would have wanted Firkin to turn into Fyre Festival. We’ve reached out to the organizers to find out more about what transpired¬†and will update this post as we learn more.

Firkin will be back next year.

Update: A source with knowledge of the situation says that the circumstances presented to Bristol and the Guild are so far outside of their control that canceling the festival was not only the best option, but also the necessary and appropriate action to take. There’s no word whether the Rocky Mountain Brewing Symposium will be affected yet. That’s all for tonight…go drink some local craft beer. As for all the firkins…let’s party!

It's not what's on your glass, but what is inside it that truly matters. Drink good beer and surround yourself with good people who drink good beer and life will be merry.
