All Hallows Eve is upon us, and the scariest part of Friday’s festivities will be figuring out where you’ll celebrate! It seems like every brewery and craft beer bar has something going on! Choose your fate wisely! If you’re planning on ignoring this holiday, remember that the All Colorado Beer Festival still has tickets available for their beer fest on Saturday November 1st! It would be a great reason to stay in on Friday night…just saying. Get your tickets here.
If you know you’re going to be stuck at your front door on Friday handing out candy to kids, it’s best you take advantage of the earlier week options!
Front Range BBQ is hosting their Halloween party, Skalloween style! Grass It Up will be playing music, there will be beer specials and of course a costume contest! Ska Brewing will have Cru d’Etat, Hoperation Ivy, Mexican Logger and more to drink!
Fieldhouse Brewing is having Test Tap Wednesday as usual, head down to their spot across from McCabe’s on Wednesday for a one-off treat. Tonight’s tapping is a Caramel Apple Amber that Treehouse BBQ will be pairing Sweet Pork Burritos & Baked Apple Fries with.
Red Leg Brewing is starting a new Wednesday night weekly event. Hot off his Chicago Marathon, Todd and the gang are hosting a Costume 5k! If you missed out on the Waldo Waldo, here’s your chance to run over 3 miles in a costume. It starts at 6:30. This will become their weekly thing(probably not the costume part), and even if you’re not the running type, you can always just stop in for an award winning Devil Dog Stout.
Great Storm Brewing does a weekly Buzzwordz Trivia night on Wednesdays, so if new beer and running aren’t your thing, head down to 204 Mount View Ln and stretch those brain muscles.
Pikes Peak Brewing is hosting a tap attack at the Green Man. They’ll have some fun oddities on tap including some of the last of the Pro-Am Podwojny IPA. As usual, glassware and schwag is going to be given out.
Is it winter yet? Bristol Brewing and Mother Nature sure think so. Thankfully to complement our sudden change in weather, Bristol will be releasing Winter Warlock on Thursday night. Winter Warlock, for those who haven’t paid attention, is Bristol’s Oatmeal stout brewed chock full of roasted malts and 100 lbs of oatmeal. For those playing the home game, that’s 500 individual 1 cup servings of oatmeal. Head to Ivywild Thursday at 5:30 for a complimentary taste and an awesome food pairing.
Halloween Festivities. There’s a lot of them. A lot.
We’ll just attack this shotgun style and get you the info quick and dirty. Some places haven’t posted anything special yet…I’ll update as things become known!
Southside and Westside:
Bristol Brewing: They’ll have Moonhoney playing music in the Bristol Pub.
Iron Bird: They’re taking part in “A Nightmare on Craft Beer Street” bar crawl. Hit up Green Man’s website to register for $20 before Friday and $30 on Friday. Not sure what you get for your registration, but they’ll have at least 2 free pints included supposedly and adult treats at each of 6 stops. Stops include Downtown Fine Wine and Spirits and Zeezo’s oddly enough.
Fieldhouse Brewing: They’ll also be taking part in “A Nightmare on Craft Beer Street” bar crawl.
Brewer’s Republic: They’ll be hosting their usual Halloween Party. Costume Contests at 10, 11, and Midnight, as well as some special tappings from Stone and Rogue!
Great Storm Brewing is having a huge Halloween beer release party! They’ll be tapping 3 different beers for your enjoyment. In no particular order they are: Pompion Ale, a pumpkin ale with 100lbs of roasted pumpkin sans spices, Frank, a pale-brown ale with a crap ton of carrots in it, and Come On RyEileeen, their version of a dark roggenbier. Costume contest, beer, good times.
Red Leg Brewing is releasing a pumpkin beer and having a costume contest! Head there around 8 for the contest, and much earlier to get some of the beer. Prizes await.
Also at 8pm, just up the road, Trinity Brewing will be judging their own costume contest. Prizes for first, second and third.
As things get announced, I’ll keep this list updating…
